Pavan Malhotra is the Founder and Managing Principal of Aurelie Capital. Mr. Malhotra has over 13 years of commercial real estate experience during which time he has been involved in the financing and ownership of more than $5.5 billion of commercial real estate.
Prior to forming Aurelie Capital, Pavan served as a Senior Vice President within the Real Estate Investment Banking practice at Jones Lang LaSalle. Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Malhotra served on the acquisitions team at A&E Real Estate, a New York City based real estate private equity firm focused on multifamily investments. Prior to A&E Real Estate, Pavan served as a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers assisting the FDIC in the liquidation of commercial real estate loans obtained through the closing of failed financial institutions.
Prior to PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Malhotra served as a Senior Associate at BMS Management, a Washington D.C. based real estate private equity firm focused on student housing investments, assisting the company in strategic property improvements as well as restructuring the company's debt. Prior to BMS Management, Mr. Malhotra served as as Investment Associate at CapitalSource.
Mr. Malhotra began his career at Ernst & Young. He received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Maryland, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and a Master of Science in Real Estate from New York University with Distinction.
Charlie Rimkus joined Aurelie Capital as a Principal in 2018. Prior to joining Aurelie, Mr. Rimkus was a Vice President in the Real Estate Investment Banking practice at Jones Lang LaSalle where he was directly involved in over $2.5 billion of debt and joint venture equity placements, spanning a wide range of property types and project profiles.
Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Charlie was an Advisor at Cresa Partners where he worked with end users of real estate to develop and implement strategic real estate plans. Mr. Rimkus executed a total transaction value in excess of $190 million, primarily focused on student housing, office, and industrial properties. Prior to Cresa, Mr. Rimkus worked at Group One Investments in Chicago where he was involved in the development site selection and due diligence process.
Mr. Rimkus received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Business Institutions from Northwestern University, where he was the captain of the men's varsity swim team. He remains involved as a Board Member of Northwestern's N Club. Charlie is an active member of the Urban Land Institute.
